Our room was comfortable and elegant. The bed had previously in history been occupied by the great-grandmother of the present owner,
according to Dr. Martin Schick. All antique furnishings in our room were previously family-owned.

Before we pay greater attention to our dear and highly respected Baronial Couple, we like to pay our respects to Johann Wilhelm, Elector of Palatine, Duke of Juelich and Berg. Luckily for us, the respected Elector for his second marriage selected Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici for his bride, who was the last lineal descendant of the main branch of the historically most imminent House of Medici. Naturally, and how could it be any different, we delighted in the opportunity to stay at a premise that paid tribute to that prominent and attractive couple in European history.
